Use the cylinder’s rated free-gas capacity or your estimated remaining free gas. Set the actual flow and an allowance for reserve and additional use. Adjust your arc-on share to reflect pauses.
Know the limits
Arc time is gas volume divided by flow. Elapsed time also includes fitting, tacking and pauses. The tool does not choose a gas mixture or recommend a flow setting.
